経歴 

人類が直面している重大な存亡の脅威に対応するには、科学組織が堅牢かつ機敏に機能し、科学が強力かつ適切であることを保証する必要があります。しかし、テクノロジーや文化が変化するにつれて、組織の本質、範囲、範囲、および組織の活動内容も変化します。これは特にデジタル時代に当てはまります。

So – what does ‘digital’ mean? And how can we empower the scientific community to harness its potential?

The ISC started exploring these questions in 2022, in consultation with its Members, which culminated in a practical report ‘デジタル時代の科学組織’. It serves as both a current reflection of the digital status in the science community and a guide for organizations embarking on their digital transition journeys.

As part of it, eleven ISC Members engage in a four-month digital journey, guided by experts and supported by a community of peer changemakers. Their experiences will inform the recommendations and the support mechanisms the ISC will produce for the wider community in 2025.

活動と影響 

第一期 (2022-2024)

• 2022: under the guidance of Nick Scott, a digital transformation consultant, the ISC Secretariat enters the discovery stage to explore the state of the Council’s digital maturity and drafts the ISC デジタル ビジョン。 
• 2023: a broad survey of the diverse ISC Membership collects key insights and acts as a barometer to gauge the digital engagement and capacities of ISC Members.
• 2023: Findings from the survey and in-depth interviews are shared at the ISCメンバーの中間会議、 prompting other organizations to take inspiration from presented case studies to attempt or progress on their own digital journeys. A number of workshop, including a ChatGPT の実践的な詳細」 (recording available) equip science professionals with skills to use AI effectively and ethically.  
• 2024: the newly published report ‘デジタル時代の科学組織」では、重要な発見と学んだ教訓をまとめています。 

Phase II (2024 – 2025) – ‘Digital journeys’

• 2024: Through a アプリケーションを呼び出す, eleven ISC Members with a footprint in the low- and middle-income countries are selected to pursue a guided digital journey with the ISC.
• 2025: The cohort of selected organizations will form a reflexive community of learning and exchange, and receive expert guidance to advance their digital journeys internally.
• 2025: Various useful tools, recommendations and other support mechanisms, resulting from the learning experiences of the digital cohort, will be made available for the wider scientific community.
